This year’s International Women’s Day theme is centred around #BreakTheBias. The theme follows and aims to promote gender equality on a global scale to celebrate a world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination, and to create a world that is diverse, equitable and inclusive.
At The Brief Claims, owner and director, Jessica, built a firm that encompasses these ideals. A law firm that believes women, not just men, can climb the promotional ladder to be at the top, setting a standard for younger female members, and providing role models for aspiring legal professionals.
At the core of our values is the idea of putting people before profits, and ensuring that staff are given opportunities for personal and professional development.
To celebrate International Women’s Day 2022, we asked our HR Associate Director – Ceri, Fraud Team Leader – Chloe, and Assistant COLP – Jasmine, about their time at The Brief Claims.
We were interested in finding out what working in a female-led company means to them, and how The Brief Claims supports women.
We also asked Ceri, Chloe and Jasmine what it meant for them to see other women in senior and leadership positions, in a field often dominated by males at the senior and director levels.
Finally, we asked each for a piece of advice they would offer to their younger self, whether that be worrying less about hitting milestones by a certain age or embracing the parts that make you different.
Hear from Ceri, Chloe, and Jasmine as they discuss how the Brief Claims continues to support them and their roles as women in the firm.
